The United Arab Emirates was established in 1971 and is a federation of seven emirates – Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain. Each emirate has its own ruler, and one of the rulers is elected President and Head of State of the United Arab Emirates. There is also a Vice-President who serves as Prime Minister, the Head of Government. The United Arab Emirates is in western Asia at the southeast end of the Arabian Peninsula on the Persian Gulf, and borders Oman and Saudi Arabia,
